Kozhuh is 281m high hill, which is located in the Sandanski-Petrich valley. It rises 200 meters above the modern bed of the river Struma. The eminence represents remains of an old volcanic cone, which is not activated by nearly 1 million years. Cone passes through the Struma River, and near the bed and a hot springs of mineral water. The eminence divided Sandanski-Petrich valley of Sandanski and Petrich field. The name comes from the volcano that resembles nametnat jacket. Petrich - "Rupite"     Rupite area is one cultivated spot about 10 km northeast by Petrich, with beautiful flora and fauna, some of which are included in Red Book of Bulgaria.
